Lois McCutchan
Director
An industry leader with over 20 years of experience, Lois began her career in migration advice in 1989 at a global accounting and consulting firm. Lois was a key player in developing one of Australia’s first corporate immigration practices and later one of its directors.
In 1997, Lois established a boutique immigration consultancy and developed a reputation for providing personalised services to corporate clients. The Sydney-based practice attracted blue chip clients from across Australia and overseas, many of whom Lois assisted by ensuring the orderly migration to Australia of their first overseas employees.
Highly regarded within the profession, Lois has been registered with the Migration Agent Registration Authority (MARA) since its inception in 1992 and is a long-standing member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA). She has contributed in an advisory capacity to a number of MARA and MIA initiatives aimed at raising the profile and standards of the migration advice industry. She has also presented, on immigration law at Centre for International Legal Studies, based in Salzburg, Austria.
A keen supporter of Australian arts and culture – in particular classical music – Lois has given her professional expertise and time to helping internationally recognised artists realise their goal of migration to Australia. This is not only a satisfying personal experience for Lois but also a growing area of the Ajuria Lawyers practice.
Lois is a graduate of the Australian National University’s Faculty of Arts (Asian Studies) with majors in politics and Japanese language.
